Jr Glover

Winfield Slay Glover Jr., 62, of Tharrington Road,Garner and formerly of Denton died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at VA Medical Center in Durham. Graveside services will be held Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ronald Hedrick officating. Mr. Glover was born Feb. 2, 1944 in Davidson County to Winfield Slay Glover, Sr. and Beatrice Russell Glover. He was a veteran of the US Army 570th Post having served in Vietnam and was a member of the Black Knights Parachute Team. Mr. Glover was a Security Guard. He also had attended Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. He is survived by a sister, Clara Glover Sowers and several beloved nieces and nephews and espically by his beloved pets Buddy and Peanut. The family will see friends Saturday from 12:00 to 1:30 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
