Joyce Bean Snider

Joyce Bean Snider, 93, formerly of Shiptontown Rd., Lexington, NC passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. Born on September 9, 1932, in Davidson County she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Ella Ingram Bean.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 1, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tommy Robbins and Rev. Ricky Hick, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Summerville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Monday prior to the funeral service at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.

Joyce was a faithful member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She found great pleasure in her years as being a certified nursing assistant at Mountain Vista Health Park. Outside of her church and work life she also enjoyed cooking for family, visiting with others, and helping those in need. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Burrell U. Snider, a son, Maynard Snider, and a grandson, Dustin Snider.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Kenneth Snider and his wife Pat; daughter, Lavae Hick and her husband Ricky; daughter-in-law, Phyllis; her sisters, Carol Vaughan, Jeanie Latham, Estella Michaels; her brother, Griff Bean (Janeth); grandchildren, Jamie Snider, Larissa Brown (Allen), Terri Hardy (Ronnie), Wendy Stimpson (Nathan), Tracy Hutchins (Perry), Ricky Hicks, Jr. (Renee), Jennifer Hicks (Tony), and Sebastin Hicks; 17 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to Cedar Grove Baptist Church in memory of Joyce.
