Joyce Gallimore

Joyce Yvonne Gallimore, age 77, of Denton died Tuesday, December 30 at Randolph Hospice House. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 3 at 2:00 PM at Piney Grove United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Neil Crowell. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 12:30 to 1:45 PM Saturday at the Church prior to the service at 2:00 PM. Miss Gallimore was born in Davidson County on August 5, 1937 to William Clyde Gallimore and Anna Luda Pennell Gallimore. She was a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her brothers Jay, Ned, Raymond, Sherman and Billy Gallimore; by special nephews, Darrell Gallimore and Baby Jo Jo Metwally. She is survived by sisters, Faye Gallimore of Thomasville, Betty G. Davis of Cary and Glenda Scott of Greensboro and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved her church family and you could be sure if there was something going on at church she was there. She loved being involved in church activities. A special thank you goes to all those special people that were so willing to help Joyce when she had a need. Every where she went people would reach out to her. She was small in stature but BIG in heart. She will truly be missed.
