Joy Beasley DENTON — Carolyn Joy Chappell Beasley, 49, of Dogwood Drive, New London, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, at Stanly Memorial Hospital. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Jan. 22, at Lanes Chapel Church, with the Rev. Derald Smith officiating. She was a native of Guilford County and a self-employed housekeeper. Surviving are husband, Ricky Pete Beasley of the home; son, Terry Ray Hardin of Lexington; stepdaughter, Dawn Renee Shipman of Greensboro; sisters, Janice Chappell Bowman of Trinity, Lillie Marlene Adkins of High Point; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren. Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, is in charge of arrangements.
