Ms. Paulette “Josie” Owens Potts, 70, of Cranford Rd. passed away on Monday, Oct. 1 at Forsyth Medical Center.
A celebration of life service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, Oct. 4 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Rachels officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on Cranford Rd.
Ms. Potts was born March 23, 1948 in Davidson County to Harris Owens and Pauline Bailey Owens. She worked as a nurse aid at Golden Age Nursing Home in Lexington and had attended Stoner’s Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Eubanks, Sr., son, John Eubanks, Jr., brother, Mozelle Owens, sister, Juanita Mowery.
She is survived by sons, Ernest Eubanks and wife Kandace of Denton, Edward Eubanks of Lexington, and Kevin Eubanks of Denton; daughters, Donna Rachel of Denton and Wanda Adams of Lexington; step-daughters, Lois Eubanks and Debbie Eubanks of Kinston; brothers, David Owens and Terry Owens both of Southmont; sister, Pearl Morrow of Murphy; 21 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
