Denton-Josephine Covington Mrs. Josephine Everhart Covington, age 87 of Mountain Vista Health Park and a longtime resident of Denton died Tuesday, Nov. 17 at Lexington Memorial Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, Nov. 20 at First United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Bill Foust. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Covington was born November 21, 1921 in Davidson County to Thomas S. Everhart and Myrtle Josephine Kearns Everhart. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and also a member of the United Methodist Women of the Church. She was a retired employee of Thornton Knitting Company and was a member of the Woodmen of the World. She is survived by her husband, J. Clegg Covington of the home; sons James C. Covington and wife Polly of Asheboro and Gary S. Covington and wife Faye of Lexington; a daughter Barbara Ann Wilson and husband Walter of Lexington; a granddaughter Toni Ayers and 3 great grandchildren. The family will see friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence on South Main Street Extension
