Joseph "Joe" Bradley Loflin, 88, of New London, NC, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Bethany Woods Nursing Home and Rehab in Albemarle. Born on January 14, 1938, in Davidson County, he was the son of the late Bradley Loflin and Virginia Fine Loflin.

Joe was a dedicated businessman, proudly owning his own heating and air company as well as a gun shop. His entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to his work were evident throughout his career, contributing to both his community and the lives of many who relied on his services.

A valued member of the Alleghany Methodist Church, Joseph found joy and purpose in his faith and fellowship with fellow congregants. His warm and caring nature extended beyond his professional life into his personal interactions, where he cultivated a community of friends and family around him.

Joe had a wide array of hobbies that brought him great joy. He loved antiquing, fishing, woodworking, and dancing—all activities that highlighted his creative spirit and zest for life. He leaves behind a legacy rich with fond memories shared during these pursuits.

He is survived by his son, Joseph D. Loflin and his wife Cindy; his daughters, Carolyn Sue Hooker and Joelee Lynch and her husband Buck; his brother, Robert Loflin and his wife Joan; and his sister, Vangie Crisco. Joe's legacy continues through his grandchildren Justin Loflin and wife Katelyn, Ryan Thomason and wife Courtney, Morgan Hooker, Marina Hooker, and Marissa Hooker, as well as his great-grandchildren Emmitt Thomason, Ruby Thomason, Millie Thomason, Tatum Hooker, and one expectant great-grandchild. He also enjoyed the love and support of many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Bradley and Virginia Loflin, and his brothers Wes Loflin, Bill Loflin, and Clarence Loflin; as well as his sisters Carlene Varner, Marlene Efird, and Dorothy Hill.

His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. The memories he created and the love he shared will continue to resonate in the hearts of those left behind.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Alleghany Methodist Church Cemetery.

Memorials can be made in Joe's memory to the donor's choice.
