Joseph "Joe" Britt

Mr. Joseph “Joe” Edward Britt, 91, of Currie Mill Rd., Jackson Springs was reunited with his wife of 69 years Mrs. Peggy Goins Britt on January 4, 2020.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 8 at Community Baptist Church with Rev. Dana Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Candor Funeral Home.

Mr. Britt was born September 20, 1928 in Montgomery County to Arlin Mason Britt and Daisy May Waller Britt. “Joe” enjoyed working on small engines. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Goins Britt and 2 daughters, Judy Freeman and Diane Lowe.

He is survived by sons, Bobby and Danny Britt both of Jackson Springs; daughters, JoAnn King of Charlotte, Polly Mabe of Derby, Kellie Dunn of Jackson Springs, and Joy Garner of Carthage; 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
