Johnny Junior Poole, 60, of Floyd Church Rd., Lexington passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, at his residence.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Floyd Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tim Miller officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Tim Poole on Floyd Church Rd.

Mr. Poole was born on May 11, 1964, in Davidson County, the son of Johnny Franklin Poole and Edith Irene Lovette Poole. He attended Floyd Baptist Church and Denton High School. At age 16 Johnny began working with Lexington City Garage in Lexington, Lexington Furniture, Council Craftsman and lastly at   A M Haire Manufacturing and Service Corporation. He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Franklin Poole; grandparents, Rosie and Lyon Poole and Ethel and Roy Lovette; and his uncle Kenneth Lovette.

Some of Johnny’s favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing, as he was looking forward to a deep-sea fishing trip planned for October, also he enjoyed hanging out with his uncle Kenneth Lovette at the garage along with his brother, cousins, and friends. Johnny truly enjoyed his life and loved his son

Left to cherish Johnny’s memory are his son, Tyson Poole and wife April of Seagrove; stepdaughter, Heidi Crisco of Thomasville; mother, Edith Irene Lovette Poole of Lexington; brother, Tim Poole and wife Donna of Lexington; nephew, Dalton Poole; dear cousins, Lee Edwards and David Farmer.
