John Tucker, Jr.

Mr. John Elwood Tucker, Jr., age 57, of Yates Road, Denton NC died Friday, February 21, 2020 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Grubbs Grove Church with Rev. Johnny Albertson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Tucker was born on March 3, 1962 in Davidson County to John Elwood Tucker, Sr. and Ruby Tysinger Tucker. He was a member of Grubbs Grove Church. Mr. Tucker worked in furniture manufacturing. Survivors are his wife, Sarah Newton Tucker of the home; daughters, Heather Tucker of Lexington and Debra Tucker of Salisbury; brother, Andy Tucker of Clemmons; sisters, Kay Miller (Larry) & Patricia Zimmerman of Lexington and Sandy Wilson (Robert) of Florida; and 5 grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service at Grubbs Grove Church. Briggs Funeral Home is serving the Tucker family.
