John Smith

Mr. John Griffis Smith age 76, died Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Brian Center of Lexington. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 15 at Denton Town Cemetery conducted by Rev. Charles Tanner. The family will receive friends following the service. Mr. Smith was born February 15, 1939 in Davidson County to Carma Roosevelt Smith and Beulah Morris Smith. John was a member of First Baptist Church in Denton and had worked as a truck driver. In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by his wife, Delorice Smith and sister, Joyce Warren. John is survived by his brother Jerry Smtih of Claudville, VA. In lieu of flowers the family ask memorials be made to First Baptist Church PO Box 515 Denton, NC 27239.
