John P. Kinney, 96, of Fairgrove Road, Thomasville, formerly of Denton, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at Thomasville Medical Center. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home, Denton, with Christopher Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Clear Springs United Methodist Church Cemetery. He was a native of Davidson County, a member of Clear Springs United Methodist Church and a farmer. The family will be at the funeral home, 10-11 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service, other times at the home of Carol Burkhart on Fairgrove Road, Thomasville.
