John Thomas Kiger

John Thomas Kiger, aged 89, of Jerusalem Rd., Lexington, NC, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Thomasville Medical Center. Born on May 10, 1935, in Davie County, he was the son of John Wesley Kiger and Adelia Stuart Kiger.

John honorably served in the United States Navy and later worked in research and development for PPG Industries. He was a man of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda Sue Elders Kiger, his parents, and all of his siblings. He leaves behind a loving family, including his sons, Thomas Wayne Kiger and Gary Lee Kiger and his wife Jennifer, his daughter Rhonda Wallace, as well as 5 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 12, at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, officiated by his son, Gary Kiger. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
