John Borgman

Mr. John E. Borgman, 60, of Garner Rd., Denton passed away on Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018 at High Point Regional Hospital. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, Feb. 21 at Denton Wesleyan Church with Rev. Charles Moses and Rev. Jim Borgman officiating. Interment will follow at Alleghany United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence. John was born August 18, 1957 in Kalamazoo, MI to Rev. Morris Jr. Borgman and Dorothea C. Borgman. He was of the Wesleyan Faith and was a self-employed flooring installer. In addition to his parents John was also preceded in death by his first wife, Yolonda Cook Borgman. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Thompson Borgman of the home; daughters, Lucretia Borgman Smith and husband Shaun of Lexington and Nicole Borgman Russell and husband Travis of Lexington; son, Zack Borgman of High Point ; brothers, Steve Borgman and wife Leslie of Twin Lake, MI and Rev. Jim Borgman and wife Kathy of Cleveland, SC ; sisters, Janie Murray and husband Tommy of Winston Salem, Joy Skjold and husband Eric of Kasilof, AK, and JoAnne Kennedy and husband Patrick of Lexington; 4 grandchildren, Zeke and Aaliyah Hazelwood, Paisley Borgman, and Abby Russell.
