Jackson Springs-John Duncan Blue John Duncan Blue, age 90, of Martin Rd., Jackson Springs, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Jackson Springs Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Suzanne Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at Culdee Presbyterian Church Cemetery. A native of Montgomery County, Mr. Blue was born May 2, 1917, the son of Malcolm and Margaret McKenzie Blue. He was a member of Jackson Springs Presbyterian Church and was a state employee, retiring after 22 years. He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Jerry Blue and Johnny Blue. Mr. Blue is survived by his wife of 67 years, Edith Harris Blue of the home; a daughter, Judy Blue Simmons of Candor; a son, Roger Blue of Clinton, NC; 8 Grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home and other times at the residence on Martin Rd.
