Joey Mccollum

Mr. Joseph Vernon (Joey) McCollum, age 48 of Village Road, Denton, NC died Saturday, August 26 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 30 at Lick Creek Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Steve Kiger. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 29 at Briggs Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence on Village Road. Mr. McCollum was born June 6, 1969 in Germany to Jimmy McCollum and Barbara Hodgin McCollum. He was a dedicated employee as a service advisor with Davis Chevrolet in Lexington and was a member of Lick Creek Baptist Church. He loved his car, ride his motorcycle, fish and hunt. He was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his wife, Angela Pope McCollum of the home; daughters, Tori McCollum and Lucy McCollum; father Jimmy McCollum of Denton; sister Jeanie Holder of Beaufort; grandmother Hazel McCollum of Randleman.
