Joe Elliott

Mr. Joseph B. (Joe) Elliott age 87 of NC Hwy # 49 S. Denton, NC died Thursday, November 19 at Randolph Hospital in Asheboro. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 22 at Salem Fellowship Church conducted by Rev. Steven Nance and Rev. Frankie Royal. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the Randolph County Memorial Honor Guard. The family will see friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times will be at the residence of the son, Kent Elliott on High Pines Road, Asheboro. Mr. Elliott was born November 24, 1927 in Guilford County to Earl Whitson Elliott and Mary Barker Elliott. He was a self employed farmer and a member of Salem Fellowship Church. He was a charter member of the Farmer Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Farmer Lions Club.He was a World War II Veteran of the U S Army He was married to Hazel Nance Elliott who died May 24, 1996. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charles Elliott and a grandson, Ethan Elliott. Mr. Elliott is survived by sons, Jerry Elliott and wife Joanne of Denton and Kent Elliott and Robin of Asheboro; grandchildren, Justin Elliott, Jarret Elliott and Sarah Elliott.
