Jody Willoughby Wooten

Jody Willoughby Wooten, 62, of Templeton Rd., New London, NC passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

A celebration of life service will be held in early March for Jody at Chandler’s Grove Methodist Church.

Jody was born on June 10, 1960, in Washington D.C.to Curtis Willoughby and Lois Hagerty Willoughby. She was a member of Chandler’s Grove Methodist Church. Most recently Jody had been employed with Southern Correctional Institution in Troy as a Corrections Officer. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Jeanne Marie Willoughby.

She is survived by her husband Bert Wooten of the home; step-son, Randy Turpin of Denver, CO.; nephew, Trevor Matthew Willoughby of the home; brother, Mark Willoughby (Susie) of Clermont, FL.
