Mrs. Jo Ann Roberson Pierce, age 77 of Harris Lane, Denton, NC died Tuesday, June 23 At Hinkle Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Silver Valley Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Gene Little. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home. Mrs. Pierce was born September 4, 1937 in Davidson County to John M Roberson and Minnie Clark Roberson. She was a member of Silver Valley Baptist Church. She had worked at Burlington Industries Denton Plant and retired from Councill Craftsmen Furniture Company. She was married to Virgil Pierce who died in 2010. She is survived by daughters, Teresa Ann Soles and Denton and Sandra Lee Everhart of Southmont and 2 grandchildren.
