Joann Walker Bean

Ms. Joann Walker Bean, 80, a former resident of Lanning Dr. Denton, NC passed away on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton.

A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 3:00 pm.

The family will greet friends following the graveside service and other times at the home of David and Gail Walker.

Ms. Bean was born August 12, 1939 in Davidson County to Isaac Daniel Walker and Alice Garner Walker. She was retired from Burlington Industries and of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents Joann was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Bean; nephew, Bobby Berrier whom she raised as a son; brothers, Larry Walker, Bobby Dan Walker, and Kenneth Walker; sisters, Linda Coble and Kathleen Garner.

She is survived by step-son, Edward Thomas “Eddie” Bean and wife Chris Bennett Bean of Charlotte; brother, David Walker and wife Gail of Denton; sisters, Hazel Garner, Imogene Morris both of Denton, and Pauline Coltrane of Tennessee; step-grandchildren, Bennett Bean and Marlaina Bean; and by several nieces and nephews.
