Joan Phee Yates

Joan Marie Phee Yates, 62, of Canaan Ch. Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 29, at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in New Beginning Church on Farmer Denton Rd.

Joan was born December 16, 1960, in Markham, IL the daughter of Thomas Clifford Phee and Joan Monica Pillote Phee. She was raised in the Catholic Church and later attended New Beginning Church. She had been a Dietician at a Hospital in Illinois. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her twin sister, Jane Phee.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Michael Yates of the home; daughter, Stephanie Anne Phee of Denton; stepdaughter, Lauren Ann Yates of High Point; stepson, Curtis Bradley Yates of High Point; 2 brothers, Marty and Tom; and 5 sisters, Irene, Nancy, Barbara, Mary Ruth, and Kathy.

The family would to extend a special thanks to Hospice of Davidson County for the excellent care Joan received while in their care.
