James Robert (Jimmy) Jacobs, Jr. age 55 of Jackson Hill Road, Denton, NC died Sunday, August 9 at CMC Union Hospital in Monroe after a sudden illness. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 12 at Round Hill Baptist Church in Union Mills. Mr. Jacobs was born August 26, 1953 in Guilford County to James Robert Jacobs, Sr. and Bertha Justice Jacobs. He graduated from High Point Central High School in 1971 and attended Guilford Technical Community College. Aside from being successful in the automotive sales industry for over forty years, retiring in 2004, he also bred registered black angus beef cattle for over thirty years. He was an avid member of the American Angus Association and Davidson County Cattlemen’s Association. He is survived by his wife, Connie Hilton Jacobs of the home, a son, Justin Robert Jacobs of Wilmington; a daughter Jennifer Ryan Jacobs of Raleigh; a sister Judy Jacobs Royster and spouse George Royster of Jamestown; a nephew Brian Coward; and nieces Brooke Royster and Amy Kidd. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times will be at the residence on Jackson Hill Road.
