Mrs. Jeweldean Gallimore Franks, age 86 of Johnson Road, Denton, NC died Saturday, October 8 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, October 12 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Gene Little. Interment will follow at Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence on Johnson Road. Mrs. Franks was born December 17, 1929 in Randolph County to Ed Gallimore and Lillie Dunning Gallimore. She was a retired employee of Burlington Industries, Denton Plant and a member of Silver Valley Baptist Church. She was married to Leo Watson Franks who died July 1, 2013. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Reece Gallimore, Ray Gallimore and Robert Gallimore and by sisters, Jessie Franks, Mildred Nance, Vergie Jackson and Gladys Metters. She is survived by a son, Terry Franks and wife Teresa; daughter Judy Draughn and husband Jamie all of Denton; grandson Chad Draughn and Wife Danielle; granddaughter Cassie Burnette and husband Curt; great grandchildren Alison Draughn and Isabelle Simmons and a great grandson Elijah due to be born any day now.
