Jewel Hunt

Jewel Dean Logan Owen Hunt, 78, of Floyd Church Rd., Lexington died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008 at Floyd Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Dickens officiating. Burial will be private in the Church Cemetery. Mrs. Hunt was born April 10, 1929 in Davidson County to George Owen and Frankie Jane Wall Owen. She was a homemaker and a member of Floyd Baptist Church. Survivors include husband, Sidney J. Hunt of the home, daughters, Priscilla Hege and husband David, Tammy Weaver, and Cynthia Kluttz and husband Nathan all of Lexington, brothers, Oneil Owen and wife Carolyn of Lexington, and Luther Owen and wife Viola of Denton, sister, Nancy Darr and husband Robert of Lexington, grandchildren, Christopher Hege and wife Kristy, Brandon Hege and friend Teresa, Chrissie Weaver and friend Rodney Spivey, Lydia Walker, and Elijah Kluttz, great grandchildren, Benjamin Walker, Whitley Hege, Xavier Spivey. There will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers the family ask memorials be made to Americans Children Home, PO Box 1288, Lexington NC, 27293-1288 or to Floyd Baptist Church Briggs Funeral Home in Denton is in charge of arrangements.
