Jane Summey Swaim

Mrs. Jane Summey Swaim, age 84 of Ross Wood Road, Trinity, NC died Sunday, June 12 at Hinkle Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 16, 2022 at High Rock Baptist Church, with Rev. Junior Summey officiating.  Burial will follow in Pierce’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Swaim was born August 4, 1937 in Randolph County to Samuel Summey and Elsie Briles Summey.  She was a member of High Rock Baptist Church and had been employed as a seamstress in the Textile Industry.  She was married to John William Swaim who preceded her in death.  She was a loving, caring and giving mother.  She loved doing things for her family and loved her animals.

She is survived by daughters, Vanda Hoover and husband Ronnie of Trinity; Joni Routh and husband Fred of Sophia and Misti Prevatte and husband Doug of Asheboro; grandchildren, Brandon Hoover and wife Carrie of Rogers, Ark., Brent Hoover of Asheboro and Dylan Prevatte of Trinity; step-grandchildren, Anthony Routh and wife Erin of Greensboro and Chad Routh and wife Nicole of Asheboro; step-great-grandchildren, Sadie, Lila Ray, Giavonna, Madison, Emma and Raelyn.

The Swaim family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence on Ross Wood Rd., Trinity.

Briggs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
