Jane Sanders Parrish

Sara Jane “Mama Jane” Sanders Parrish, 80, of Seagrove, passed away peacefully Friday, March 29, 2024 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Monday, April 1, 2024 at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.

Jane was born May6, 1943 to the late Carson and Mary Barnes Sanders of Eleazer NC.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Carr Max Parrish; son, Max Todd; granddaughter Roxanne Cromer; 3 sisters, Odena Doby, Pat Hooker, and Pauline Sanders; 6 brothers, Norman Sanders, Willie Sanders, Billy Sanders, Paul Sanders, Lester Sanders, and Robert Sanders.

Jane graduated from Randolph Community College in 2005 with a degree in Criminal Justice.  She was Phi Theta Kappa at Randolph Community College.  On her 62nd birthday, she retired from Randolph County School System.

She is survived by her children, Tammy Jane Parrish (Jose) of Rockingham, Kellie Jo McDowell (Scott) of Denton, and Carr Max “Chuck” Parrish of Trinity; sister, Diane Sanders Carter (Bill) of Sophia; 3 grandchildren, Joseph S. Miller (Felicia) of Denton, Brian A. Anderson (Stephanie) of Haw River and Curtis M. Anderson (Amanda) of Randleman; 24 great-grandchildren.

Briggs Funeral Home of Denton is in charge of arrangements.
