Jane Cody Carrick

Jane Cody Carrick, 79, of Briggs Rd., Lexington, NC passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Thomasville Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 24, at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.

Jane was born in Lee County, NC to John Hollis Cody and Nell Lloyd Cody on June 27, 1942. She had worked in furniture manufacturing and the textile industry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas “Shorty” Carrick.

She is survived by sons, Johnny Cook of Lexington and Larry Eugene Cook of Fredericksburg, VA; her twin sister, Judy Summey of Jackson Creek and sister, Sue Russell of Denton; 4 grandchildren, Johnny Van Cook, Jr., John Cody Cook, Kelsey Cook, and Aeden Cook; 3 great-grandchildren, Faith, Tanner, and Jane Cook.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
