James Parsons

James Wayne Parsons, 75, of McCallum Rd., Candor died Tuesday, Feb. 3 at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy. Memorial services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Parsons Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Parsons was born Feb. 9, 1933 in Montgomery County to Ernest Upton Parsons and Lou Johnson Parsons. He was a member of Parsons Grove United Methodist Church. He was a retired Sergeant Major with the United States Army having served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. Mr. Parsons is survived by, his wife; Ina Varnadore Parsons of the home, sons; Richard I. Parsons of Candor, Timothy W. Parsons of Walnut Grove, CA., and Andrew D. Parsons of Candors, daughters; Cindy Brust of Kist, Germany, and Marty Weezorak of Houston, TX., 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. The family will receive friends at the residence.
