James William Karr 82, of Huntington Drive, died Sunday, August 19, 2007 at Britthaven of Davidson in Thomasville. Mr. Karr was born November 19, 1924 in Sarcoxie, Missouri to Arthur William Karr and Arneta Southern Karr. He was retired from Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Seattle, Washington, where he worked for 30 years as a buyer. Mr. Karr was preceded in death by a brother Paul Dale Karr. Mr. Karr is survived by his wife of 61 wonderful years, Helen M. Lucas Karr of the home; a son Jimmy Karr and wife Jackie of Puyallup, WA.; a daughter Linda Sue Brown of Asheboro; a brother Wallace Gale Karr of Tacoma, WA; five grandchildren, Tonya Bledsoe Haneline and husband Ronnie of Denton, Michael Bledsoe and wife Joyce of Randleman, Tommy Bledsoe and wife Christine of York, SC, Damien Karr and wife Lori of Puyallup, WA, and Kristin Griffin of Puyallup, WA. Mr. Karr is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and one expectant great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church where he was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
