James Thomas Johnson

James Thomas Johnson, 74, of Crouch St., Troy, died Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at his residence. Graveside Service will be 3:00 PM Monday at Southside Cemetery in Troy, with Rev. Harold Pope officiating. Born in Montgomery County on April 28, 1947, he was the son of Annie Freeman and Paul Johnson. He was employed by Montgomery County for several years, serving as an animal control officer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Johnson in 2016, and two sons, Jimmy Johnson, Jr. and Jamie Johnson. Mr. Johnson is survived by his son, William Johnson (Lisa) of Troy; daughter, Kim Martinez of Troy; brother, Jerry Johnson of Thomasville; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM Monday prior to the service at Briggs Funeral Home in Troy.
