James "Jimmy" Leonard

James “Jimmy” William Leonard, 50, of Canaan Church Rd., Denton died Monday, November 16, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009 at Mountain View Memorial Gardens conducted by Rev. Brian Workman. Mr. Leonard was born April 4, 1959 in Davidson County to James E. Leonard and Joyce Small Leonard Roseberry. He was a veteran of the US Army and worked at Thermo Products and was a Computer Programmer. Survivors include, wife; Teresa See Leonard of the home, daughters; Jennifer Leonard Hill (David) of Southmont, Krista Leonard McGee (David) of Southmont, and Jessica Leonard Beck (Michael) of Tyro, grandchildren (6), Summer Nicole Johnson, Austin Douglas Johnson, Randy Allison McGee, Haydon Chance Hill, Hunter Blake Hill, and Madison Paige Beck., half brother, Jay Leonard of Concord and step brother Jody Shaw of Lexington, sisters, Kim Flippen of Denton and Deborah Fellers of Lexington and step sister Tish Blanton of Lexington. The family will see friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence of Ann See on Old Camp Rd.
