James "Jim" Henry Mcleod

James Henry “Jim” McLeod, 62, of Candor, died Sunday, March 16, 2025 after an extended illness.  Graveside Inurnment Service will be 2:30 PM Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at the Candor Cemetery.

Born October 30, 1962, in Pinehurst, he was the son of K A McLeod, Jr. and Betty Bone McLeod.  He received a degree from North Carolina State Ag Institute, and was a true Wolfpack fan. He was a past Captain of the Candor Volunteer Fire Department and was known as a loyal friend, and they enjoyed his dry sense of humor.  His beloved with Jackie was at his side at the time of death.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Wasser McLeod of the home, his son Charles (Hannah) was a source of great love and pride and his grandson Milo, who he got to meet before his death; brother, Kenneth McLeod (Barbara) of Candor, and sister, Sharon McLeod (Dea Jones) of Atlanta GA, and his father-in-law, John H. Wasser, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM prior to the service on Tuesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home.
