James William Hinson, Sr

James William Hinson, Sr., 79, of NC Hwy 731 East, Candor, died Wednesday at the FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Guiding Light Baptist Church, with Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mr. Hinson was born in Montgomery County on June 15, 1932, the son of Claude and Alma Greene Hinson. He was an Auto Parts Store owner and a veteran of the US Army. He is survived by his wife, Lola Reynolds Hinson of the home; 4 sons, James W. Hinson, Jr. of Vass, Johnny Hinson of Lakeview, Randy Hinson of Sanford and Barry Hinson of Star; 3 daughters, Deborah Thomas of West End, Susie Bean of Candor and Kim Carlan of Monroe; a brother, Ernest Hinson of Biscoe; 3 sisters, Mary McDonald of Candor, Claudia Spoon of Aiken, SC and Irene Reeves of Wilmington; 19 Grandchildren; 26 Great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
