James Hicks

James C. (Pete) Hicks, 77, of McCallum Rd. Candor died Monday, June 7 at Morrison Manor in Laurinburg. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Clyde Allen. Mr. Hicks was born June 22, 1932 in Montgomery County to Wiley Harrison Hicks and Esther Hicks. He was a member of Macedonia Presbyterian Church and a veteran. Mr. Hicks trained Bird Dogs. Survivors include; sons; James C. Hicks of Troy, Joe Hicks of Branford, FL., and John Hicks of Amelia Island, FL., and daughter; Sharon Hicks Crook of Biscoe, and brother; Claude Hicks of Candor, and sister; Grace Hicks Britt of Biscoe, and 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is assisting the Hicks family.
