James S. Chriscoe

Mr. James Stephen Chriscoe, 63, of New Hope Rd. Denton passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at High Point Regional Hospital. A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Tuesday, May 2 at New Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Conley and Rev. J. Harold Hammond officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with masonic rites. Mr. Chriscoe was born May 6, 1953 in Randolph County to Ottis Chriscoe and Marie Brewer Chriscoe. James was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. He was a Past Master of the Asheboro Lodge #699 A.F. & A.M. He was a farmer and an avid deer hunter. Also he was retired as Maintenance Director of Randolph County. Surviving are wife, Judy Fry Chriscoe of the home; son, Kent Chriscoe and wife Tricia of Denton; brother, Ralph Chriscoe and wife Christine of Roswell, GA; sister, Gwen Brown and husband Carson of Pilot Mountain; granddaughter, Hope Chriscoe; nephew, Jeremy Luck, Derek Chriscoe, and Kyle Chriscoe; niece, Dia Budkey. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on New Hope Rd.
