James Franklin Bowman

James Franklin Bowman, 77, of E. Second St., Denton, died Friday, February 09, 2018 at Pine Ridge Health & Rehab Center in Thomasville.  Graveside Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, with Rev. David Hunt officiating.   Born in Patrick County, Virginia, on May 13, 1940, he was the son of Sparrel Mosby and Mary Lee Cochran Bowman.  He was a knitter with Burlington Industries.   He is survived by his wife, Trula Bailey Bowman of the home; stepson, Clay Moore of Marion; 2 stepdaughters, Kaye Smith and Mae Frady, both of Marion; brother, Roosevelt Bowman of Gastonia; sister, Betty Sue Bowman of Gastonia.   The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the residence on E.
