James Edward Blake

James Edward Blake, 66, of Stutts Dr., Candor, died Sunday, January 30, 2022 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham.  Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 4, 2022 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, with Pastor Eddie McLean officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Born in Montgomery County on February 25, 1955, he was the son of Harvey and Lois Kay Burris Blake.  He was retired from Wal-Mart, and was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Blake.

He is survived by his wife, Trudy Wilkes Blake of the home; daughter, Shannon Lynn Wallace (David) of Norman; son, Phillip Blake of the home; 2 brothers, Wayne Blake (Sue) and Kenneth Blake (Brenda), both of Troy; 4 grandchildren, Robert, Dwight, and Dawson Wallace and Aaliyah Coble.

The Blake family will see friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home.
