Jackie Furr

Jacqueline “Jackie” Kate Surratt Furr, 88, of Chapel Hill Ch. Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Chapel Hill Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Smith, Rev. Scott Davis, and Rev. Thomas Frizzell officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Furr was born January 28, 1936, in Randolph County, the daughter of James W. Surratt and Alene Davis Surratt. She was a homemaker, member of Chapel Hill Methodist Church and Davidson County Ladies Home Extension Club. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Shelby Futrell.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Larry Furr of the home; daughter, Rhae Auman and husband Tracey of Denton; “adopted” daughter, Julie Loflin and husband Keith of Denton; special granddaughter, Courtney Taylor and husband Brian; special great-granddaughter, Sadie Taylor all of Charlotte; sisters, Nancy Bean and husband John of Asheboro and Brenda Tuttle and husband Tommy of Wilmington

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Chapel Hill Methodist Church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Chapel Hill Methodist Church Mission Fund PO Box 1967 Denton, NC 27239.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Linda Cook, Tina Cook, Robin Bluff, and Betty Ann Pierce.
