Jack Grubb

Mr. Jack M. Grubb, 74 formerly of Yates Rd., Denton died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007 at Centerclair Nursing Home in Lexington following several years of declining health. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 9, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by the Rev. Lacy Cagle and Pastor Terri Cook. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Mr. Grubb was born August 29, 1932 in Davidson County tto Lester Odell and Minnie Herlocker Grubb. He had worked as a machinist in a hosiery mill and in insurance sales with State Capital Life Ins. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the AMVETS Post 43 in Denton. He was preceded in death by a son Alan Grubb in 1987. Mr. Grubb is survived by his wife; Loretta Tucker Grubb of the home, son; Gary Grubb of the home, daughters; Gail Staley and husband Sidney and Ava Cook and friend Chris Barker, all of Denton, Grandchildren; Melanie Staley, Shane Grubb and Kyle Cook. The family will see friends on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton other times at the residence.
