Howard Larkin Speer

Mr. Howard Larkin Speer, Sr., 75, of S. Bilhen St., Troy, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Autumn Care of Biscoe. A “Good Memories Celebration” for Howard Speer will be from 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the Troy Senior Center for family, relatives and friends. Mr. Speer was born in Moore County on October 23, 1938, the son of Garl Soloman and Alice Saunders Speer. He was a meat cutter. He is survived by his wife, Dawn Greene Speer of the home; 4 sons, Howard L. “Hal” Speer Jr of Albemarle, Cecil Andrew “Andy” Speer, David Allen Speer and Brian Neil Speer, all of Troy; daughter, Heather Speer Hogan of Troy; sister, Lucille S. Cox of Robbins; 9 grandchildren. The family wants to thank all of you for your kindness, thoughtful prayers and love at this time.
