Howard "Bud" Douglas Harris

Mr. Howard “Bud” Douglas Harris, age 75, of Candor, NC died Sunday, July 14, 2019 at First Health Hospice and Palliative Care in Pinehurst.   A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 18 at 2:00 p.m. at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home Chapel.  Officiated by Rev. Jim Hunsucker and Rev. Russ Brown.   The family with receive friend from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Wednesday at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home.   Mr. Harris was born in Stanly County on August 23, 1943 to Charlie C. Harris and Virginia Saunders Harris. He was a veteran of the US Army.   He is survived by wife, Peggy Spivey Harris of the home; Daughters, Shannon Harris Hayes (Chris) of Winston-Salem, NC; Step-Daughters; Betty Crabtree of Elmo, TX and Winnie A. Kennedy of Troy; Step-Sons, Tony Hunter, Jr. of Lindell, TX and Timmy Spivey of Troy; Brother, Bob Harris (Faye) of Mt. Gilead; Sisters, Kay Wells of Columbia, SC, Joanne Sides Huntley of Harrisburg and Martha Todd of Charlotte; Grandchildren, Caleb Guthrie (Jessi), Zachary Guthrie, Brandy Hill, Hunter Colt Hill; Step-Grandchildren, Heather N. Crabtree, Hunter Threadgill, and Damon Kennedy; Great-Grandchildren, Garrett Guthrie, Logan Guthrie, Annabelle Guthrie, Jason Hill, Olivia Alvarez, Ryleigh Hill and Maranda Hill.
