Horace Lee Blake

Horace Lee Blake, 71, of McCallum Rd. Candor, NC passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Montgomery County, NC on January 11, 1955, the son of Harvard Lee Blake and Pauline Chappell Blake.

Mr. Blake was of the Christian faith, he graduated from East Montgomery High School and had worked as a concrete finisher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Blake Massey.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Cole and her husband Steve; sons, Tery Williamson and Waylon Blake and his wife, Shalana; grandchildren, Christian, Stevie, Jackson, Emma, Waylon, Eli, Adysson, Lucas, and Gatlin; great-grandchildren, Nova and Robert.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM at Briggs Candor Funeral Home. Following the visitation a graveside service will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday at the Blake Cemetery.
