Hilario Vargas Gutierrez

Hilario Vargas Gutierrez, 76, of Star, NC passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, Dec. 6, at Our Lady of the Americas Catholic Church in Candor with Father Ricardo Sanchez officiating. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Briggs Candor Funeral Home.

Hilario was born January 14, 1948, in Tlaxcala, Mexico, the son of Ciriaco Vargas and Beatriz Gutierrez. He was a member of Our Lady of the Americas Catholic Church and had worked as a framer in the furniture industry with Klaussner Furniture.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Virginia Andres Dominguez of the home; sons, Guillermo Vargas Andres and wife Jordan Kenney and Jonathan Vargas Andres and wife Leah Dudley; sister, Roberta Vargas Gutierrez of Alabama; 2 grandchildren, Maxwell Vargas and Sydney Vargas.

Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
