Ms. Helen Lucas Karr, 95, a resident of Flat Swamp Rd., Denton passed away on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 4:00 pm at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Smith presiding. Ms. Karr was born October 11, 1922 in Joplin, Missouri. She loved socializing, shopping, getting her nails done and playing rummy. She had a smile that would light up the room. She enjoyed laughing and making others laugh with her silly sense of humor. Her caring nature was witnessed by all who met her as well as her unending love for her family and God. She was preceded in death by her husband, James William Karr. She is survived by son, Jimmy Karr and wife Jackie of Puyallup, WA; daughter, Linda Brown of Denton; grandchildren, Tonya Haneline and husband Ronnie of Denton, Damien Karr and wife Lori of Puyallup, WA, Kristen Dingledine and husband Phillip of Puyallup, WA, Michael Bledsoe and wife Joyce of Denton; 12 great grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
