Helen Hill

Mrs. Helen Lucille Barringer Hill age 93, of Loflin Hill Rd., Trinity and formerly of Hill Rd. Lexington died Wednesday at her residence. A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, November 3, 2013 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Brian Workman and Rev. Cisco Mitchell. Interment will follow in Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Hill was born October 25, 1920 in Stanly County to Titus Barringer and Carrie Parker Barringer. She retired after 25 years as a seamstress with Carolina Underwear. She loved flowers, quilt making, and sewing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Oscar Hill who died on Feb. 9, 2012, brothers; Fred and Joe Barringer, sisters; Evelyn Holt, Ruby Hartsell, Betty Smith, and Gladys Crawley, granddaughter; Mary Annette Ashburn, great grandchildren; Zachary Kindley and Rebecca Lynn Smith. Survivors include; son; Roy Kenneth Hill and wife Martha of Lexington, daughter; Rachel Hill Johnson and husband Donald of Trinity, brother; Zeb Barringer of Trinity, sister; Mae Huneycutt of Concord, 8 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the service at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton and other times at the home of Rachel Johnson 1551 Loflin Hill Rd.
