Troy-Helen Loftin Harris Helen Ann Loftin Harris, age 94, Child of God, entered the Church Triumphant on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Britthaven Nursing Home in Albemarle. The Service to Celebrate her life will be 2:00 PM Saturday, February 2, 2008 at The First Wesleyan Church, 1368 NC Hwy 134 North, Troy. Officiating will be Rev. Bobby Freeman, Rev. Harold McDonald, Rev. Jeff Ray and Rev. Clyde Penry. A Eulogy is to be delivered by Mrs. Charlotte F. Maness. Music will be provided by Mrs. Charlotte Maness and Tim and Carmella Hedrick. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery in Troy. A native of Montgomery County, Mrs. Harris was born November 18, 1913, the daughter of Martha Ann Ledbetter and John Aire Loftin. She graduated from Troy High School in 1932 and married Paul Mason Harris on April 14, 1934. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul, on November 18, 1975; her sisters Louise Scarboro and Lucille Brown; her brothers, Robert Loftin and John A. Loftin, Jr. Mrs. Harris is survived by a daughter, Kay Weathersbee and husband Stan of Albemarle; 2 sons, David Harris and wife Mary of Southern Pines and John paul Harris and wife Ginger of Asheboro; a brother, Harrell Loftin of Southern Pines; a sister-in-law, Irene Loftin of Troy; 3 grandchildren, Jeff Weathersbee and wife Beth of Ashevill; Mason Harris and wife Christine of Durham and Jonathan Weathersbee and wife Sarita of Wendell; 3 great-grandchildren, Tymber Harris, Canyon Harris and Ella Weathersbee. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the First Wesleyan Church, 1368 Hwy 134 N., Troy NC 27371 or to the charity of the donor’s choice. The family would like to thank Dr. Rufus Lefler, III for his excellent care; the administration and staff of Britthaven and Hospice of Stanly County for their many kindnesses.
