Grace Craven Robinson, 87, of NC Hwy 731 East, Candor, died Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at FirstHealth Richmond Memorial Hospital in Rockingham. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Billy Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Candor Cemetery.
Born August 20, 1931 in Richmond County, she was the daughter of Walter Hadley and Blonde Warner Craven. She was a member of Sardis UMC and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Melvin (Shorty) Robinson and one brother Edward Craven, and five sisters; Jewel Henley, Eula Brown, Hazel Petty, Mary Johnson and Carol Friz.
Grace was a loving wife and extremely hard working mother who was committed to her family. She worked a full time job at Samarkand Manor as well as many long hours on the farm, including checking on her beloved cattle and still making time to be a homemaker that cared and loved all of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 sons, Thomas Robinson (Vivian), and Darrell S. Robinson, both of Candor; 4 daughters, Donnie Ramm (Mike) of Clarksville VA, Bonnie Montgomery (Dan) of Jamestown, Wanda McCormick (Tom) of San Diego CA, and Beth Robinson of Climax; 3 sisters, Alma Ligon of Texas, Faye McIntosh of Mint Hill and Betsy Brewer (Leslie) of Fayetteville; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM Saturday prior to the service at Briggs-Candor Funeral Home Chapel.
