Grace H Hughes

  Mrs. Grace Hill Hughes, age 77 formerly of N Bingham Street, Denton died Friday, December 1 at the Laurels of Salisbury in Salisbury.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 5 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Johnny Albertson. Burial will follow at Pleasant Union Community Church Cemetery.   The family will see friends from 12:30 until 1:30 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home.   Mrs. Hughes was born September 3, 1940 in Randolph County to John Hill and Ollie Eddinger Hill. She had worked at Mountain Vista Health Park as a housekeeper. She was a member of the Original Covenant Church of God. She was married to Colon Albert Hughes who died December 19, 2011. She was also preceded in death by a son, Tony Rae Hughes and a sister Faye Rutzler.   She is survived by sons, Benny Thomas Hughes and wife Carol of Winston-Salem, and Frank Odell Hughes and wife Jennifer of Denton; a daughter Colleen Hughes Mazur and husband James of Salisbury; grandchildren Megan, Michael Stephen and Nick; great grandchildren Levi and Gentry.
