Warren Glenn Patterson, 93, of Jackson Springs, the Derby Community, died Thursday at Hospice Haven in Rockingham. Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM Sunday at Jones Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Dena White officiating. Burial will follow in the McKinnon Cemetery. Born in Richmond County on July 16, 1921, he was the son of N.A. and Lulabell Thomas Patterson. He was a lifetime member of Jones Springs UMC, manager of Candor Auto Parts for 25 years and loved to bird hunt and farm. He was preceded in death by a son, Warren Glenn Patterson, Jr., brothers, Leonard, Robert and Richard, sisters, Marjorie, Marybelle and Lillian. He is survived by his wife, Eva Sheffield Patterson of the home; 2 daughters, Connie Patterson Hewke and husband John of Pinehurst, and Jan Patterson and husband Nolan Yeung of Apex; sister, Emma Blake of Southern Pines; 2 grandchildren, Alexis and Delaney Yeung. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 PM prior to the service at Jones Springs on Sunday.
