Glenn Haltom

Mr. Glenn Raeford Haltom, Sr. age 92 of Surratt Road, Denton, NC died Saturday, July 24 at Mountain Vista Health Park in Denton. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, July 30 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Burial with military honors will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens. The family will see friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Friday at Briggs Funeral Home and at the residence following the graveside service. Mr. Haltom was born April 28, 1929 in Davidson County to Worley Haltom and Sadie Cook Haltom. He was a U S Airforce veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired as plant manager of Bossong Hosiery Mills in Asheboro. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Haltom on August 20, 1973. He is survived by his wife, Jane Fagg Haltom of the home; sons, G Raeford Haltom, Jr and wife Louise and George Haltom all of Denton and Jeffery Haltom and Elsie of Lexington; daughters, Sheila Haltom of Thousand Oaks, Calif. and Angie Dobbins and husband Mark of Lexington; grandchildren, Glenn Haltom, III, Laura Gordon, Lindsey Gordon, Jacob Dobbins, Peyton Haltom, Mark Haltom and Brittney Haltom and 6 great grandchildren.
